The Narrows at Zion National Park is an unbelievable hike as you will be walking through a stream in a massive canyon. Before doing this hike, it is a good idea to rent some hiking boots and walking sticks to prevent ruining your shoes. The water level can vary depending on recent weather, so make sure before you go you check recent weather. Sometimes the weather can be deep, so make sure you don’t have any personal items that can get damaged on you. If there are items you must bring, place them in a water proof bag and safely secure them in a pocket. IMPORTANT: DO NOT HIKE WHILE IT IS RAINING OR EVEN A LIGHT DRIZZLE. The Narrows is known for having very bad flash floods. Many people have died due to these flash floods. These happen very quickly so it is important to check the weather to make sure it won’t rain. The surface underneath the water you will be walking through is very unstable so be careful where you walk. Also, if the water is not clear to see through, use the walking stick to determine if there are any drop offs or deeper sections. It is recommended to do this hike with someone in case of an emergency. This trail can be pretty popular, although the deeper you go, the less people you will come across. The water within the hike is also flowing and sometimes have strong currents, so when walking through be careful not to fall.
