The Notch Trail is one of the most thrilling hikes in the Badlands National Park, while offering some amazing views of the surrounding area. This hike may not be favorable by many who have a fear of heights, although as someone with a huge fear, this was not as bad as many others I have done. The scariest part is the log ladder, although it is manageable if you focus on each step. There is also some narrow ledges once you get up to the top. This hike otherwise is very easy and beginner friendly as it is relatively flat.
