Get to know me!
Hello! My name is Bella Kieran and I am a student at Plymouth State University studying interdisciplinary studies.
Background: I grew up in the small town of Wilmington, Massachusetts, where I was a member of Wilmington High School’s softball and volleyball teams. Growing up, I spent majority of my time playing softball and spending time with friends and family. I am now currently located in Pelham, New Hampshire, where I live with my family.
High School: Wilmington High School, Wilmington, MA
College (Associated Degree): New England College
College (Bachelor’s Degree): Plymouth State University
Work Experience: I am currently a head coach for the Stars New England 14u BK club softball team, located in Wilmington, Massachusetts. I started as an assistant back in 2021, and took over a team towards the end of the 2025 season. This upcoming year will be my first official year as a head coach. I also am a bartender at the Country Club of Billerica, where I have been an employee for over 5 years.
Sports: Growing up, I was highly involved in sports, playing softball, volleyball, basketball, and a lot of backyard / pickup games. Softball was my main focus of sport, where I played on multiple club teams that traveled to multiple states to play. I also was a member of Wilmington High School’s softball team for four years, where I was the captain my senior year and a 2x all-star. After high school, I committed to New England College, where I played on their team for a year and a half. My rookie year, I won NECC First Team All-Conference – Designated Hitter and rookie of the week, while also placing in the top 10 for multiple categories. After deciding to end my college softball career due to personal reasons, I dedicated a lot of my time to coaching. After my poor experience at my college, and hearing stories of other college players going through a similar situation, I wanted to become the change in the coaching world. Since beginning my journey as a coach, I have been able to work my way up to being a head coach, while also creating a positive impact on many of the players who have been coached by me.
Travel + Hiking: One of my favorite hobbies is hiking and traveling. I have visited over half of the United States, Canada, and Ireland. This passed summer, I was incredibly lucky to travel to many places such as California, Oregon, Washington, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Ireland. I spent a lot of time hiking in these places and was able to complete over 20 different hikes in the span of two weeks over the summer! Some of my favorite hikes I accomplished this summer included Mount Rainier (Washington), The Spinc Loop (Ireland), and Crater Lake (Oregon). Back in 2022, I also did a huge cross-country trip, where I was able to visit many of the national parks the United States has to offer. Some of my favorite places I visited were the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Park.
